How to cancel YouTube Premium
Last reviewed About 2–5 minutes
YouTube Premium is managed through your Google account. Canceling removes ad-free playback, background play, and YouTube Music Premium access at the end of your current billing period. Your YouTube account, subscriptions, and history are not affected.
If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store rather than directly through YouTube, you will need to cancel through that app store.
Steps
Sign in to YouTube
Go to youtube.com and sign in with the Google account that holds the Premium subscription.
Go to Paid Memberships
Click your profile icon in the top-right corner, then select 'Purchases and memberships' or navigate to youtube.com/paid_memberships.

Locate the YouTube Premium entry in your active memberships.

Click the option to deactivate or cancel your membership. Follow any prompts that appear.
