How to cancel Tinder
Last reviewed About 2–5 minutes
Tinder subscriptions (Gold, Platinum, Plus) are almost always billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play rather than directly through Tinder. This means you need to cancel through your app store — canceling within the Tinder app itself will not stop billing.
If you subscribed directly through the Tinder website, you can manage your subscription through your Tinder account settings. After canceling, your paid features continue through the end of the current billing period.
Steps
Identify where you subscribed
Check your email inbox for the original subscription confirmation to determine whether you subscribed through Apple, Google Play, or Tinder's website.
Cancel through Apple (if subscribed via iOS)
On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, find Tinder, and tap Cancel Subscription.
Cancel through Google Play (if subscribed via Android)
Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, go to Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions, find Tinder, and tap Cancel subscription.
Cancel through Tinder.com (if subscribed on the web)
Sign in at tinder.com, go to your profile and Settings, navigate to the subscription section, and look for a cancel option.
Confirm cancellation
Confirm the cancellation in whichever channel you used. Your paid benefits continue through the end of the current billing period.
Things to know
- Most Tinder subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play — canceling within the Tinder app does not stop these charges.
- Canceling your subscription does not delete your Tinder account; your profile and matches remain.
- Boost and Super Like add-ons are separate one-time or bundle purchases, not recurring subscriptions.
Frequently asked questions
- Does canceling Tinder Gold delete my account?
- No. Canceling your subscription only ends the paid features. Your account, matches, and conversations remain until you explicitly delete your account.
- Can I get a refund when I cancel Tinder?
- Refund policies depend on where you subscribed (Apple, Google, or Tinder directly). Check the refund policy of the relevant app store or Tinder's support pages.
- How do I know if I'm being billed by Apple or Google for Tinder?
- Check your email for the original subscription confirmation — it will be from Apple, Google, or Tinder. You can also check your Apple ID or Google Play subscriptions list to see if Tinder appears there.
