How to cancel PlayStation Plus

PlayStation Plus subscriptions can be canceled through your PlayStation Network account on the PlayStation website or directly on your PlayStation console. After canceling, your PS Plus benefits — including online multiplayer access, monthly games, and cloud storage for saves — continue through the end of the current subscription period.

Games added to your library through PS Plus become unplayable if your subscription lapses, but return to your library automatically if you resubscribe.

Steps

  1. Sign in to PlayStation Network

    Go to playstation.com and sign in to your PSN account, or navigate to the subscription settings on your PS4 or PS5 console.

  2. Go to Subscription Management

    On the website, navigate to your account settings and find the 'PlayStation Subscriptions' or 'Services' section. On console, go to Settings > Account Management > Account Information > PlayStation Subscriptions.

  3. Find PlayStation Plus

    Locate your active PlayStation Plus subscription in the list.

  4. Turn off Auto-Renew or Cancel

    Select the option to turn off automatic renewal or cancel the subscription. Turning off auto-renew allows the current period to run out without charging you again.

  5. Confirm your choice

    Confirm the change. Your PS Plus benefits continue through the end of the subscription period.
