How to cancel Max
Last reviewed About 2–5 minutes
Max (formerly HBO Max) can be canceled through the Max website. After canceling, your subscription stays active through the end of the billing period you paid for, and your watchlist and profile are preserved if you choose to resubscribe later.
If you subscribed through an app store, a cable or TV provider, or Amazon Channels, you will need to cancel through that provider rather than the Max website.
Steps
Sign in to Max
Go to max.com and sign in with your account credentials.
Open your Account settings
Click your profile icon or name, then navigate to Account or Plan settings.
Locate your plan details
Find the section showing your current subscription plan.
Select Cancel Plan
Look for a Cancel or End Subscription option and click it. Max may present alternative offers before proceeding.
Confirm cancellation
Complete the confirmation steps. A confirmation email should be sent to your registered address. Access continues through the current billing period.
